Taffy (Combo Tested) Domestic Shorthair Kitten Female in Marietta, Ohio

My story
Taffy is an adorable female Tortoiseshell kitten who was brought to the HSOV on June 17, 2021 along with her sister (Laffy) and her brothers (Willy and Wonka) after their mother was struck and killed by an automobile. Taffy and her siblings were estimated to have been 10-days old and didn't even have their eyes open yet.Fortunately for these little orphans, our HSOV Assistant Manager Rachal Merrow volunteered to take them home where she faithfully bottle-fed them and brought them to work with her each day and our Feline Kennel Techs helped with raising the babies.Sadly, little Willy was too frail to survive. In spite of heroic efforts to save Willy, he passed away in foster care on June 23rd. This little boy knew nothing but love during the last days of his life.Taffy, Laffy, and Wonka were given extra TLC and all three of them survived. They have returned to our shelter and are happy, healthy youngsters who will soon be looking for homes of their very own.Taffy has a dark brown/orange/beige short smooth coat in a tortoiseshell pattern, a long tail, and an adorable kitten face with a small patch of beige above her left eye, a black button nose, and long black whiskers.Taffy and her sister Laffy are nearly identical twins. But when you look more closely at their facial features, you'll notice that Taffy has a small patch of beige above her left eye while Laffy has more beige markings on the left side of her face (and she also has a beige stripe on the left side of her body).Taffy and her sister Laffy have been separated from their brother Wonka and are sharing a cage together (much to their delight). Both of these girls have affectionate, playful personalities and dearly love each other. Naturally we'd love to see them find a home as a bonded pair.Taffy was given vaccinations, wormer, and flea treatment on September 2, 2021. She was also combo tested and is negative for feline leukemia and FIV.

Taffy weighed 3 lbs that day.Taffy will be spayed in the near future and will be looking for a fabulous home either through adoption or rescue. These photos of Taffy were taken on August 17, 2021.Rescue groups may contact our HSOV Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (sharonpaul2@suddenlink.net). We can usually help with transportation.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Taffy (Combo Tested), please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
