Shepherd/Hound Mix Shepherd (Unknown Type) Adult Male in Marietta, Ohio

My story
This handsome male Shepherd/Hound mix was brought to the HSOV late in the afternoon on December 22, 2022 by a Good Samaritan who found him on Braun Road in the Belpre Ohio area. He had reportedly been seen in that neighborhood for several days but didn't agree to be 'rescued' until that day (perhaps he sensed that frigid weather was on the way and needed to be safely indoors?).

Shepherd boy was not wearing a collar, and he was not microchipped. (The orange collar he is wearing in his photos belonged to the individual who brought him in).

Shepherd boy has a black-and-brown short smooth coat with a small patch of white on his chest, white toes, a long tail, and a beautiful face with dark brown eyes, a slender muzzle, and large floppy ears.

This good-looking boy was naturally a bit nervous after being on the run for awhile and then finding himself in an unfamiliar place with folks that he did not know.

Shepherd boy weighs approximately 45 lbs (and is likely neutered).

We will post additional information as soon as his intake procedure is completed.

In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, he will be held for three days so that his family will have an opportunity to reclaim him with proof of ownership.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Shepherd/Hound Mix, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
