Madea (Spayed/Combo Tested) Domestic Shorthair Adult Female in Marietta, Ohio

My story
Madea is a beautiful 2-year old female Torbie/Calico kitty who was brought to the HSOV on November 3, 2022 by a Good Samaritan who found her in the vicinity of Norwood Greene on Colegate Drive in Marietta Ohio.

Madea was not wearing a collar, and she was not microchipped.

Madea has a uniquely-marked brown/orange/white short smooth coat, a long tail, and a lovely face with a small patch of bronze on her head, large green/gold eyes, a splash of white of her muzzle/chin, an auburn velvet nose, and long white whiskers.

Madea has a calm, quiet disposition and a friendly easygoing personality.

Madea was given vaccinations, wormer, and flea treatment on November 3, 2022. She was also combo tested and is negative for feline leukemia, FIV, and heartworm.

Madea was given booster vaccines on December 1, 2022.

Madea is a large kitty who weighs 16.4 lbs.

These updated photos of Madea were taken in late November/early December 2022 and better show her beautiful one-of-a-kind coat as well as her large stature.

Madea is an absolutely gorgeous kitty when you see her in person.

Madea is currently enjoying one of our large cat towers in the lobby of our shelter so that she has a little extra space to stretch out for naps (and to practice her yoga techniques).

Madea was examined by one of our wonderful local veterinarians on November 9, 2022. The good news is that the veterinarian confirmed that Madea has already been spayed, and she was given rabies vaccine on November 9th. The not-so-good news was that Madea was diagnosed with bladder stones, and she will be required to be on a special diet (Science Diet Urinary Care Cat Food) for the rest of her life.

Madea will return to the veterinarian for follow-up appointment in approximately four weeks to assess her progress.

UPDATE 11/27/2022:

Madea's bladder stones are much improved (and dissolving) but there are multiple crystals in her urine.

Madea is continuing on her Urinary Cat Food Diet and also has pain medication as needed.

Madea is looking for a fabulous home either through adoption or rescue.

Rescue groups may contact our HSOV Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (
