Freya (Spayed) Dutch Shepherd Young Female in Marietta, Ohio

My story
Freya is a beautiful one-year old female Dutch Shepherd mix who was surrendered by her owner on December 16, 2022 because he was unable to properly care for her.

Freya has a stunning dark brown/brindle short smooth coat with white markings on her chest, white paws, a long tail, and an adorable symmetrically-marked face with dark brown eyes, a chocolate brown nose, and short floppy ears.

Thanks to HSOV Volunteer/Holiday Kennel Tech Lynncoln Tynan for helping Freya with her glamour photos on December 17th.

Freya has a happy, outgoing personality and was full of playful energy that afternoon .. And she was anxious to meet dogs that she observed being walked by volunteers in the distance.

Her previous owner told us that Freya lived with small children and that she was good with children of all ages.

Freya is good with other dogs as well as cats.

Freya had been kept indoors during the day and confined to a room.

She is crate-trained and was kept indoors during the night confined to a crate.

Freya is housebroken with occasional accidents.

Freya is frightened of loud noises and thunderstorms.

She hides and whines to

express her fear.

Freya's favorite toys are chew toys.

Her only known behavioral issues is chewing (but please keep in mind that she is merely an overgrown puppy at one-year old).

Freya weighs 62.8 lbs and is fairly energetic on a leash.

Freya has already been spayed and is up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies vaccine).

She has also been tested for heartworm with a negative result.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Freya (Spayed), please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
