Kelly (Spayed)'s story
Kelly is a beautiful 3-1/2-year old female Border Terrier/Shar-Pei mix who was surrendered by her family on October 12, 2018.
Kelly is a gorgeous girl who has a sleek red-and-white short smooth coat, a long tail, and an adorable red-and-white face which is symmetrically marked. She has a liver-colored nose and extra-large semi-erect ears (the better to hear you with my dear) :)
Kelly adores her people friends but would be best placed in a a home where she would be the only pet. Kelly is not good with children, other dogs, or cats :(
Kelly is a highly intelligent girl who has learned to sit patiently and take treats gently from your hand.
Kelly has a real zest for life and loves to have a good time. She loves to romp and play ball with volunteers in our large play yards.
Kelly weighs approximately 50 lbs. She is fairly strong on a leash and is enthusiastic about taking walks with our kennel techs and volunteers.
Kelly was spayed in January 2017 and was also given rabies vaccine.
NOTE: One of Kelly's favorite volunteers was curious about her breeds since she has such a unique look. We had originally listed Kelly as a Pointer/Pit Bull Terrier mix when she first entered our shelter on January 13, 2017 (which seemed to fit her physical appearance). Much to our surprise, DNA results for Kelly came back with these breeds: Boston Terrier, Chinese Shar-Pei, Boxer, and Boston Terrier!
Kelly was adopted on December 20, 2017 after spending nearly a year in our shelter. She came back to HSOV on October 12, 2018 and is once again looking for an appropriate home (that she would not have to share with children or other pets).
