Laika (Adoption Pending)'s story
Laika is a handsome 8-week old male Husky mix puppy who arrived at the HSOV on October 2, 2018 along with his mother (Mary Jane) and his siblings (Blue Eyes, Frankie, Indy, Nikita, and Sinatra).
The puppies' mother Mary Jane had been brought to our shelter on July 18th after she was picked up by our Humane Officer, and it was obvious that Mary Jane would soon be giving birth. Fortunately for her, a wonderful foster family took her home a week later and she gave birth to six beautiful puppies on August 9, 2018. Momma and puppies were returned to the shelter on October 2nd since they were all ready to find homes of their very own.
Laika has a black-and-white short smooth coat, white paws, a long tail, and an adorable face with a tiny white stripe on his nose/muzzle, big brown eyes, and large floppy ears. Laika has a unique coat and looks like two entirely different puppies depending upon the angle from which he is viewed :) From the top view, he appears to be almost entirely black. But when you see him sitting, you can see the beautiful white-and-black pattern on his chest. Laika is a happy little boy who loves attention and playtime.
Laika weighs 13.8 lbs. He will be neutered before being adopted by his new family.
