Brutus Mountain Cur Young Male for sale in Marietta, Ohio

My story
Brutus is a handsome one-year old male Mountain Cur who was surrendered by his owner on June 4, 2019.Brutus has a brown/brindle short smooth coat with white markings on his chest/legs, a long tail, and a beautiful face with a white stripe on his forehead, a dusting of white on his muzzle, and short floppy ears. His previous owner told us that Brutus had shared his home with children who were 8- and 11-years old and did well with them. There weren't any other dogs or cats in his home, so we aren't sure how Brutus feels about other animals. Brutus weighs 52.6 lbs. He is housebroken and up-to-date on vaccinations. Brutus has been introduced to a crate but does not well when left alone in the crate.In spite of his size, Brutus is merely an overgrown puppy and does the normal things that puppies do (including chewing). Brutus tends to have some separation anxiety issues (or perhaps boredom) when left alone, and that is when he gets into mischief. These preliminary photos of Brutus were taken as his owner held him outdoors waiting to be processed into our shelter, so he was obviously a bit unsure of his surroundings. We look forward to taking more flattering photos of this super nice guy when he is a little more relaxed.Brutus will be neutered before being adopted by his new family.
